"On the pier of a small Mexican village, an American tourist stops and approaches a small boat belonging to a local fisherman. He compliments the fisherman on the quality of the fish and asks him how long it took to catch them.

The fisherman replies: 'It didn't take long,' and the tourist asks: 'But then, why didn't you stay out longer to catch more?'
The Mexican explains that that small amount was exactly what he needed to meet his family's needs.

The tourist asks: 'But how do you spend the rest of your time?'
And the fisherman says: 'I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta with my wife. In the evening, I go to the village, meet up with friends, have a drink, play the guitar, sing a few songs, and so on—I live life to the fullest.'

The tourist then says: 'Let me stop you right there; I have an MBA from Harvard, and I can give you some useful suggestions on how to improve. First of all, you should fish for longer hours every day. Naturally, you would catch more. You could sell the extra fish and buy a bigger boat. A bigger boat means more fish, more fish means more money, more money means more boats... You could afford an entire fleet! Instead of selling to the middleman, you could negotiate directly with the processing plants, and eventually, you could even open your own.

Later on, you could leave the village and move to Mexico City, or Los Angeles, or perhaps even New York! From there, you could manage a huge enterprise!'

The fisherman interrupted him: 'But how long would it take to achieve these goals?'

And the tourist says: '20, 25 years, perhaps.' The fisherman then asked: '...and after that?'

The tourist replies: 'Ah, that’s the best part! When your business reaches massive volumes, you could sell your shares and make millions!'

And the fisherman: 'Millions? And then?'
The tourist: 'And then, finally, you could retire, move to a small coastal village, sleep late, play with your children, fish a little, take a siesta, spend your evenings with friends having a drink, playing the guitar, and living life to the fullest! And the fisherman says , but that is that already do in my life!
