Born as the first Italian social network entirely dedicated to marine life and one of the first in the world, Vitamarinaweb has evolved over time into a thematic platform and community focused on marine biology, the sea, and its inhabitants. In a web landscape that is often generic, it represents one of the first online spaces dedicated exclusively to sea lovers, offering advanced tools for interaction, sharing, and discovery within a specific thematic context. Here every user can actively contribute to the value of the community by sharing observations, experiences, and knowledge about the marine world.
Access to Vitamarinaweb is completely free. Once registered, every user can:

To provide detailed forecasts on marine weather conditions, tides, moon phases, and fish activity, Vitamarinaweb uses external open data services, including Open-Meteo, WeatherAPI, and WorldTides. The data is retrieved by our servers and displayed to users without installing profiling cookies or tracking tools on the user’s device.

Use your Mega Likes to reward the content you consider most valuable. The Star is worth 1 Mega Like, the Crab 100 Mega Likes, the Dolphin 200 Mega Likes, and the Whale 500 Mega Likes.
Every Mega Like received increases the author’s personal counter.
Once 10,000 received Mega Likes are reached, the user can request a cash prize of 100 euros, and the same applies for each 10,000 Mega Like threshold.

Payments from companies, professionals, or holders of a VAT number are not accepted; only private individuals may purchase, without using a VAT number.
Any false declaration may be prosecuted under applicable law.
With Vitamarinaweb you can save your favorite sea places directly as personal Spots and optionally add a description. Each user has a dedicated page with the list of saved locations, which can be viewed at any time. The geolocation feature is also available from a boat, so you never lose sight of your favorite destinations and can easily share them with other enthusiasts. You can choose whether to keep your location private or make it public. On satellite networks, VPNs, and PCs, location may not be precise. Note: on some onboard computers or laptops, the location may be inaccurate because the IP address is registered elsewhere. For better accuracy, it is recommended to use a phone.
